ENDORSEMENT: Texas Association of Realtors

Rep. Rodney Anderson's campaign for the Texas Senate recently received the support of one of the most influential trade associations in the state, The Texas Association of Realtors.  

 
Chairman Dwight Hale applauded Anderson’s commitment to Texas homeowners: “The next legislative session will be filled with difficult decisions and we need lawmakers like Rodney Anderson who understand the critical role homeownership and a healthy real estate industry play in keeping our state prosperous.  We’re proud to pledge our full support.” 

 

“I am honored to have the endorsement of the Texas Association of Realtors,” Rep. Anderson said. “As small business owners, Texas Realtors make the dream of homeownership more affordable for all Texans and I will strive to help support this important goal.”

Texas Association of Realtors endorses Rodney Anderson

Texas’ most influential association pledges its support

 

The Texas Association of Realtors today announced its decision to endorse Rodney Anderson’s candidacy for the Texas Senate to represent District 9. Making the statement earlier today, Chairman Dwight Hale applauded Anderson’s commitment to Texas homeowners.

 

“The next legislative session will be filled with difficult decisions and we need lawmakers like Rodney Anderson who understand the critical role homeownership and a healthy real estate industry play in keeping our state prosperous,” said Hale. “We’re proud to pledge our full support.”

 

Currently, Texas ranks 45th out of 50 states in homeownership. Electing lawmakers who understand homeowners’ concerns and act accordingly to bolster homeownership in Texas is the cornerstone of the association’s legislative advocacy. Anderson is involved in the political process at all levels, promoting policies and supporting initiatives in the best interests of property rights and homeownership throughout the state.

As the most influential trade association in the state, the Texas Association of Realtors expects to be a considerable grassroots force for Anderson.

 

Texas Realtors have championed a number of pro-consumer legislative and regulatory causes, such as eliminating most transfer fees on real estate transactions; fighting for meaningful reform of homeowners’ associations in 2011; pursuing changes to the property appraisal system in 2009’ and advocating for billions in property-tax reductions in 2005.
